    Well done for posting possible films for your case studies. Those that are not appropriate are:
    The Shining - borderline but a classic.
    Shutter Island and Jaws are both horror films
    The Hurt Locker is a war film
    The Beach not really a thriller though has aspirations to be one.

    I'd choose about 4 from the rest of the list
    Rear Window
    In Bruges
    Tinker Tailor...
    Leon
    Inglorious Basterds..has some great sequences
